Although my recent paintings have shifted from watercolour to mixed media and acrylic, my themes and intentions have remained consistent. I’ve built my practice by leaning into my natural tendencies, deliberately and deeply observing my surroundings with the intention of finding scenes waiting to be painted.
My work continues to be rooted in the places I experience and the details that catch my attention. I’m interested in translating those observations into paintings that reflect not only what a place looks like, but how it feels to be there.
